Trekking Holiday in Morocco

Trekking is one of the very best things Morocco has to offer. All of our tours travel to remote, off the beaten track areas, and to traditional Berber villages populated by friendly local people living a life that’s changed little over hundreds of years. If you want to trek in Morocco during the summer, head for the High Atlas to climb either Toubkal (4167m) North Africa’s highest peak, or Jebel Mgoun (4071m) North Africa’s second, or both. In the winter we head further south to walk in the Anti-Atlas or Jebel Saghro ranges. This is a popular option for those new to trekking or looking for a gentle one week holiday which combines the best of rural Morocco and the vibrant city of Marrakech. We offers a wide range of mountain treks from the Mount Toubkal and Mt M'Goun, to the more gentle Valley of Roses, Berber villages and valley treks or Jbel Sirwa regions

Trekking in The High Atlas Mountains: which is the North Africa’s greatest mountain range, holds some of the fascinating and most magnificent regions of Morocco. These huge mountains offer very impressive mountain biking trails, trekking trails and photography opportunities. These mountains are the highest in the region, with Mount Toubkal stretching to 4.165 meters above sea level. It is divided into three parts: the Middle Atlas (north of Beni Mellal), the Anti-Atlas (south of Marrakech to Tafilalet) and the High Atlas Mountains between Marrakech and Ouarzazate. The Atlas Mountains has walks to suit all abilities, but mules and horses are also available in the villages if riding suits you better than trekking. The Berber villages in the Atlas are small but thriving and are home to the original people of Morocco who are enduring, hospitable and very friendly people. The villages offer stylish Moroccan accommodation such as tagine, couscous and much more, in the local traditional houses….

Camel Trekking in The Moroccan Sahara: is mainly made up of a big rocky plain, which runs from the feet of the Atlantis on the North/East almost to the Atlantic coast, south of Agadir. In Morocco, the desert moves smoothly, the Draa Valley or Wadi Ziz strung a string of villages and lush palm groves, before losing in the dunes of the erg (Chebbi or labidia), which lie at the foot highland last relief before Algeria. Even within the desert you can enjoy different landscapes: the dry, thorny plain where jackals and camels live, the Sahara desert: reign of scorpions and snakes or the northern oasis full of bustle and life. The choice is yours.A trip to the Sahara desert is definitely an experience everyone should do at least once in his life. The beauty of the desert, its contrasts, its colors, its silence, and many memories you will never forget.

Houssain and his Team offers a wide range of private treks for those planning a trip to Morocco, from basic one day guided walks to full package treks, including transfers, accommodation, food, guides, mules, tents, kitchen materiels and much more.
